Cafe madina is the best somali restaurant I've ever eaten at. I got the lamb shank with rice and side salad for 18 dollars and it was a big enough portion for two hungry people that we almost couldn't finish it. The rice is fragrant and delicious and the lamb falls off the bone and you could cut it with a spoon. Make sure to make time to come here, you will not regret it. Service was very good, the owner came by and gave us two bananas for free. Good price and amazing meal! I will come again.👍

I got the goat plate and one of each sambusa. The goat plate comes with rice, lightly curried lentils, potatoes, peas, and a salad on a big platter. The food is delicious here but you should come for the atmosphere. Everybody there was friendly and welcoming. I felt like I was welcomed into a home - not a business. No formality at all. I will be back next time I’m in town.
