I love this homey Greek restaurant! When I want comfort food for lunch during my work day, I go here. It’s pretty and inviting w/its little blue lights at the ceiling and white tables and blue-seated, light-color wood chairs. Everything I’ve ever had to eat here is delicious. I especially love the Veg Mousakka, Minestrone, and Chocolate Cake. The staff are welcoming, efficient, and kind and they get to know their regulars. It’s a true gem of Evanston.

My family has been coming here for 30 years. The quality, the vibes, the prices — all of it can’t be beat. Nothing hits like a Cross Rhodes Greek Chicken. Also the skirt steak. And don’t even get me started on the egg lemon soup. We live in NYC now and have been trying for YEARS to find a spot like Cross Rhodes in any of the 5 boroughs and we can’t. If anyone has any East Coast recs I’m all ears, but in the meantime if you live near Evanston and have somehow been snoozing on Cross Rhodes for the last several decades - change your ways!
