Taverna Modern Mediterranean was one of the highlights of our trip to Flagstaff. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up dining here twice during our visit, which is something we rarely do when traveling. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin Souvlaki, and it was excellent both times. The beef was perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful, and paired wonderfully with the fresh vegetables, pita, rice, and sauce. Every component of the dish tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Taverna was great for dinner in Flagstaff! The appetizers tasted great and the portions for our mains were pretty large. Everything was well seasoned and even the baklava came with a large portion. Would recommend!

This restaurant hit us just right. We were hungry after a day on the slopes, and we very much enjoyed our meal. We first shared an order of dolmades (they were delicious) and for our main dish, we order the lamb chops and the bowl with gyro. Portions are copious and everything was tasty.
