We live one mile from this Applebees Grill + Bar, and even if it’s a chain, our food has always been great. Davenport has a lot of chain restaurants, and it’s tough to be in the restaurant business these days, if you haven’t noticed. We have consistently had good service here, with polite and attentive servers. Our food has always been fresh, and if there was a small issue, it was taken care of immediately. I sure LOVE their BBQ riblets. My husband loves their chicken. The restaurant is clean, as are the bathrooms, and you’ll enjoy your dinner here. We saw a lot of families enjoying eating tog

Service was fair, not too much of a wait. Food not so great. We were seated within 5 minutes and greeted right away. The restaurant was not too busy. Our food didn't take too long but there were a few things wrong. First the mc and cheese was dry and was sent back. Two of the pastas were dry, the sause consistency was super thick. We asked for more sauce but it didnt make it any better. Also the tenders were kinda over fried. The appetizers, boneless wings, and spinach dip, were pretty good and fresh. Chips were crispy. Have been to handful of Applebee’s across the US over the years; never the best experience but always good enough. This time, bad. Very bad. Fourty-five mins to take our order despite a not full restaurant and countless servers walking by. Another full hour before we saw food. Most of it arrived cold - the kids corn dogs were cold (felt refrigerated); pasta was cold. Kids were incredibly antsy after the excessive wait.
