It has been a minute since I've been to an old-school New York dinner, and the Blue Bay Dinner didn't disappoint. The food was good. The Chicken and Waffles were just delicious. The Waffles were perfectly cooked but the star of the show was the Buttermilk Chicken. The Chicken was flavorful and juicy. I never had Red Cabbage Coleslaw before but I really enjoyed it. It was sweet without being overpowering. The Cappuccino was heavenly.

Nice local diner. The prices were higher than average but the servings were huge. Service was very nice, too. The Niçoise salad didn’t come with any protein unless you asked (and paid extra) which was unusual as that dish would almost always have fish. For the price, that dish was disappointing. However, we enjoyed our sandwiches, sweet potato fries and soups. It was nice to see healthy options including the cottage cheese and fruit salad. They also have a nice range of classic American and Greek desserts.

Truly a sad experience for what was once a great local diner. Embarrassing food with even more embarrassing prices. My pastrami sandwich LUNCH SPECIAL, was 22.95. Our waitress did not ask me what bread I wanted or if any additional toppings were desired. Instead she upsold me on an iced coffee that was literally coffee in a tall glass with ice. Milk on the side sugar on the side...what am I paying more for? The ice? The glass? It sure as hell aint the coffee. The atmosphere was cold, both in service/hospitality and in temperature. Their prices are astronomical in order to pay for the cooling.
