I’m pretty bummed about this last experience, I think the time before was actually good? The place has a lot of potential. Ambiance is nice, but 3/5 family members were dissatisfied with the food. Risotto tasted like “spaghetti-o’s” heavy on the tomato paste, and lacked depth of flavors. My $26 shrimp and grits were undercooked, (hard and lumpy vs soft and creamy) and the shrimp didn’t taste fresh. The sauce it was topped with saved the dish, but I didn’t finish it and unfortunately my server didn’t ask how the food was until it was time for the bill, otherwise I would have swapped it out. S

We came here on what seemed to be a slow evening as we were the only ones outside on the porch. You get a nice view with a calm atmosphere from the porch and it has screens so bugs aren’t all over you. Our server was very kind and attentive. The food exceeded our expectations. We ordered the hummus, Porch Burger, Shrimp and Grits, and Redfish Pontechartrain along with peach and passion fruit mojitos. No complaints. As for parking, we were able to park on the restaurant’s street with no problems and there was plenty of space in the surrounding areas.

I have been wanting to go here for quite some time and finally made it. I knew Chef Eric Johnson would not disappoint and I was correct! It was great! We had the fried green tomato appetizer but no pics because it was gone so fast. Sorry! The Crisp Martini, Old Fashioned, Redfish BLT, Grilled Cheese with tomato bisque ALL AMAZING!

It was wonderful to have a meal here at the end of a day on the beach. The atmosphere, food, & service were all on point! For me it was an unforgettable experience!
