I had birthday dinner celebrationat at Linwoods on Sunday. Party of 4. From friendly, pleasant faces at the hostes we were greeted & escorted to our table. Our waiter for the evening was Frank. He was very professional very knowledgeable went over the specials for the evening. We ordered Grilled Octopus Hummus, Black Olive Tapenade, Pickled Banana Peppersas an appetizer, Caesar salad with delicious croutons and anchovies, Crispy Calamari Sweet & Spicy Chili Sauceand Maryland crab soup with jumbo lump meat. Great meal, great service from all staff including busboy and server and hostess. The environment is quite nice and is not loud so you can hear the others in your party. The food is really good here though pricy. Was here for a birthday dinner. My mom and I shared two dishes, the Bronzini and the duck and scallop salad. We got the Brussels sprouts appetizer for the table. My relatives got the crab soup and a pizza with spinach and goat cheese for their meal. It looked good and filling. We all had dessert. For Owings Mills, MD this is the place to go for nice dinner, not cheap but great food and service at Linwoods. I had the squid appetizer which was on top of humus and olive tapenade and it was soft and flavorful cooked just right. For main I got the French onion burger cooked MR. The tast was great, perfect temperature, I think my main feedback was that the bun didn't hold up underneath. So I ate it with knife and fork but like I said still tasty, not enough to knock a star off. Haven't been there in years but Linwoods is still putting out great food & service, as it should for the price
