I just left Hydes , ordered 2 double cheese steak burgers, 1 double decker with tartar sauce all with fries. A cod dinner with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. I didn't get the coleslaw the cod was so burnt my dad couldn't eat . My dad is 85 and its 100 degrees out so I can't be running all over the place to redo it. All the hamburgers tasted like someone put garlic all over them. Paid 75 dollars to throw most it away.

Quaint throw-back diner feel where you walk in and can tell the coffee will be simple yet perfect, the staff seasoned and friendly and the patrons are weekly regulars. Banana Cream Pie (homemade) has thick cuts of banana with a meringue style whipped topping. It’s sweet but not too sweet. Hyde's is one of those mom and pop type of hidden gem restaurants. Almost everyone there was a regular and interacted with the staff with a familiarity borne of years of meals. The menu is small but the food came out fast. We came for the pie but had breakfast, too. The biscuits were fluffy and buttery, toasted beautifully, but felt like they came from a can. Moving reviews over from Yelp. Published 9/2/19 and haven't been back: "Meh" is feeling like I rounded up on this review. Pretty much everything went wrong during our first (and hopefully last) visit. The place was packed, the waitress forgot damn near everything we ordered, the food was far from "good" and several items had to be re-made because they arrived completely wrong or gross. How exactly do you put out a plate of eggs and potatoes where the scrambled eggs are inconsistently cooked (ie. partially raw) while the potatoes range from crunchy to burned if it's a signature item on your
