That's why the food was cooked just right! The Chef was hands on and made sure every dish was on point! I love take-out counters, because they mesh quality southern cooking with efficiency. I went on a day while it rained and there was still a line out the door. The menu is colorful with a lot of soul food items. If you are looking just for breakfast that's there too. I got the catfish with grits and smoked Gouda. When I got home and ate it. I though I'd hurt myself. The catfish was tender and crunchy. The smoked Gouda made my mouth water in excitement. A dash of their homemade hot sauce had me dancing. (Just a little bit) Lol. This place was so good. My wife is plant-based and I'm not. I love when we can both experience the same restaurant and even better when its a great experience. I had the grits with gouda and they were hitting. The french toast was on point too. The eggs and beef bacon accompanied it so well. The vegan has was A1. The pancakes were just ok, but also it was more of a preference point. We would get this place again and again. If I were in town a few more days, I'd get it again too. My favorite meal is the salmon with cheesy grits and eggs, and it has never disappointed. Everything is full of flavor and always comes out just right. The space itself has a warm, inviting feel, and the team is genuinely pleasant every time I visit. Even when they’re busy, the service still feels organized and welcoming.
