Staying in Harlem for the first time and needed a good dessert. I tend to pick bakeries over restaurant desserts. I found LA Sweets right next to the hotel so definitely worth a peek. As with most good bakeries I was overwhelmed with the tasty looking options. The staff clearly recognized my indecisiveness and offered to make a recommendation. She called out Strawberry Crunch cake which I had my eye on already, so I went with it. Loved it! Too many times strawberry desserts taste like chemical strawberry. This was a highly ranked bakery in the area and for good reason! The Red Velvet Cupcake was delicious, and the cake itself was so moist while the frosting had a bold, wonderful cream cheese flavor. Service was also wonderful - there weren’t any cupcakes on display, but the person I spoke with went out of her way to get one for me. Highly recommend coming here!

Found this cute lil bakery on TikTok. Was easy to find. I was not disappointed. The pound cake was delicious. But my absolute favorite cake was the pineapple coconut cake. Omgggg it is sinfully delicious. Moist. The young lady that was the cashier was wonderful. Great customer service. My new favorite bakery. 5/21 My bday was absolutely delicious!! And affordable.

I stopped by LA Sweets NY yesterday for their grand opening at their 2nd Harlem location. Shout out their staff they helped set up the new store and were still able to provide good service. They’re serving up cake slices, cupcakes, cheesecakes, pies, cinnamon rolls, and much more. I tried the toasted coconut pineapple cake and that was my favorite. The cakes they make are moist and they are not cheap with toppings, frosting, etc. The inside is small but has a nice aesthetic. This is 100% black women owned and I wish this cake shop continues to succeed.
