Local coffee shop vibe where you see a little bit of the behind the scenes and the messiness of the space. I like that vibe, I used to study in that vibe for a long time. As for the coffee I think the roast is alright but not maybe as good as others. So it's good enough if it's the only game in town, which is reasonable. But it's not as good as Plowshares or others nearby. The roast is just missing a lot of the volatile tastes I expect. That or the brew was not done well, I can't tell.

I am a coffee lover and every day i try to visit a different coffee shop for making my day with a greater coffee. Proof coffee…! They have a nice and clean space and the Coffee is incredibly delicious and great 5/5 But the blue hair girl on cash register is not welcoming. This seems lil rude to me. She should learn some customer service skills. I ll not visit again sorry.

It is clear from his pedantic responses that the owner of the establishment is counting down the days until his intended customer base is the sole residents of the storied Harlem neighborhood. Moreover, there appears to be some resentment around his choice to open a business in the neighborhood, and among its long-standing residents, and their inability to conceive his flavor of coffee culture and community. I think Proof does more than just fab coffee. They have a fair few social care aspects. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I bumped into reflective kinda people. Folks I could have a conversation with. As a bit of a coffee freak/aficionado, Proof Roasters offer fab and varied coffee beans, with the added fairly unique ability to buy the beans in variable quantities. I find it useful for both trying different beans, and when travelling - have fab coffee in an easy to transport pack.
