Today was my first visit here. I ordered the chicken Philly and it was still piping hot when I got back to work- 5 -10 mins up the road.. There were 2 orders in front of mine but I received my food fairly quickly. The cashier was nice and personable. To the owner, I would consider revamping and refreshing the lobby area. Good food and the current lobby doesn’t really go well. To the manager on duty, I would suggest keeping the music behind the counter to a minimum to maintain a professional establishment. My hat's off to the chef..... My humble opinion isn't worth much but I'm going to push this like it is gold. American Deli is one of those hidden gems. I asked one of the employees for a suggestion and the one that he gave me makes me want to come back for more... And more.... Now I want to try everything on the menu. If you want a quaint Little deli, thats not over the top but just right, with quality food including wings that are better than some wing shops.... Give it a try. In all honesty I was thoroughly surprised.

I visited this restaurant for lunch. When I walked in, it was a little more spacious than when the last restaurant had been there. They could stand to replace a couple of the ceiling tiles, but the dining room was clean and service was quick. I had chicken tenders and french fries and although the fries could have been a little hotter, the chicken tenders were hot and delicious. The tea was good as well.
