Country Kitchen is a charming diner that has a long menu filled with great food options. The interior has - no surprise - a woody, country feel to it. The pictures on the wall, the wallpaper, the fixtures, all feel like they’re out of grandma’s kitchen. The wait staff here is all very friendly, and if you go as often as me, they remember your favorite meal down to the last detail. I’ve visited breakfast restaurants from all over the United States. This place takes the crown. Best omelet I’ve ever had and all the food is insanely fresh. Service is impeccable and the old school woodsy vibe inside is in perfect condition. Making this place a must every time im in the Chicagoland area.

Grabbed a quick bite on a Friday, late morning, between appointments and was extremely happy with my food and the service. My party was immediately seated and serviced my multiple staff. I ordered a cup of soup and BLT with well-done french fries and a coffee. My food was brought out quickly, hot, and satisfying. The staff was fantastic. By the time we left the restaurant was filled and a line of people waiting to be seated.

Very comfy diner so popular with locals that some people have their own named booths. Standard breakfast and lunch menu. Occasionally very noisy and loud when it's full, but overall a very popular and well known establishment in Highland Park with good service.
