Through word of mouth, we stopped by this well-established local food truck favorite. Tacos Jalisco embodies the feeling of an authentic taco stand and tastes reminiscent of favorites found in traditional Mexican flair. We avoided the lunch rush by arriving before 11:30. They have a big parking lot but (as well as the tables) can fill up quickly because of how popular this place is. Young kids enjoyed the quesadillas while the rest of the family scarfed down an assortment of tacos and nachos. We appreciate the quick, no-frills service and great food. Plan to stop here if you want to try one

Best street tacos on island. Simple fresh flavor, fresh homemade salsa. We had the Birria and Pollo street tacos and they were great perfect lunch for our day on the Hilo side! Mahalo for the good food.

Some of the best mexican we've had in the states. Queso birra tacos were amazing. Flautas were exceptional! Loved the pork, beef, chicken, and chorizo! Chorizo is pretty spicy but delicious! Great prices too.

One of the best places in Hilo, definitely my go to. They even have birria ramen dude. Ask them to throw some queso in there and you're all set. They also have a spicy sauce you can ask for that's 50 cents for all you condiment kings and queens out there like myself.
