Husband and I tried JD's for the first time Friday night and it was delicious. We ordered the rib tips, chicken wings and beef hot link with sauce on the side. We wanted to be able to taste the flavor of the food first. Often times, many restaurants douse their food with sauce to hide bland and dry meat. First bite into the rib tips and we knew we would return. We were looking for flavor, check, hint of smoke, check and moist meat, check. Wings were a good size, crispy and flavorful. Yesterday was my first time visiting your restaurant. I had never heard of your establishment before, but I found you through Google while searching for rib tips since my usual spot in Shorewood was closed. I placed my order online for delivery. The order came before the estimated time which was great because I had just gotten home from a long road trip and was hungry. They ran out of coleslaw BUT wrote a note explaining the gave extra fries and meat to compensate, A+ on serving their customers. I was a little disappointed with the food, the ribs tips were severely charred and vinegary, the chicken wings were fried hard with an old grease taste, not big on fries but the Mac n cheese was good. It was late night 930-10:00, so I will give them another go early this time.

Came in late on a Thursday night and the owner JD provided awesome service and delicious food. Only had to wait about 5-10 minutes and everything came out pipping hot. Plus, the portions were great. Highly recommend if you’re ever in the area and looking for some food that’ll remind you of a great family cookout!
