Get your facts straight! Robert’s Soul Food is not to be played with!!! This food was so on point! Omg that dressing made me mad I didn’t go here for the holidays. The seasoning on the chicken was beyond amazing and it was fried to perfection. I ate the skin then the chicken and it was good to the bone. My husband got the cabbage and he loved it. I of course had to try the Mac and cheese. It was crispy on the top layer but it was creamy and cheesy where it counts. I visited Robert’s Soul Food Kitchen in Lithonia and ordered the baked chicken plate with green beans, rice with gravy, and cornbread. Unfortunately, the meal was disappointing. The green beans were the only item on the plate that had real flavor. The rice was undercooked and crunchy, and the baked chicken was very dry with little to no seasoning or flavor. I really wanted to enjoy it, especially because soul food should feel seasoned, comforting, and cooked with care, but this plate missed the mark for me. I used to frequent this restaurant a lot, however, I decided to go there a week ago as I had not been there in a while and was quite disappointed in the quality of the food and portion size. I ordered baked chicken which tasted a day old and the piece of chicken was very small, the corn tasted old and the corn bread was hard. Mac and cheese was just ok. Very disappointed as this is supposed to be a Soul Food restaurant. You expect better. The price ended up being a little over $19 with a side of dessert. I would have been ok with the price if the food was good. Please get back to the quality

Umm…so I stopped to eat here because I was getting quite a few order deliveries from UberEats so my curiosity about the food was piqued. Well, I was not pleased with the food at all! The service was great from the 3 young men servers— but the food…eh! I ordered the chopped steak patties over rice and gravy (kinda hard and dry), mac n’ cheese (ok) and black eyed peas (not fully done). Sweet potato pie was too sweet for my taste buds. Cornbread also came with the meal and it was good. Overall, good establishment, place was nice and clean— but not for me. 🙃
