We stopped here for a 2pm Saturday brunch on the way to MIA airport which is a short 15 min drive away. Not being familiar with the area, it was a little confusing because gps took us to a spot that was not the entrance. The restaurant is in one of those vertical malls. They told us to park on level 3 and take the elevator down. The mall itself didn’t seem that nice, but the restaurant appeared to be much nicer than the mall that it’s in. Elia is a beautiful Italian restaurant with a stylish and elegant interior that creates a great dining atmosphere. We started with the octopus, which was hands down one of the best octopus dishes I’ve had, perfectly tender, incredibly flavorful, and beautifully balanced. The salmon and tuna tartare was also enjoyable. While it didn’t taste quite as fresh as I expected, it was still tasty and well prepared. He gave us excellent recommendations, and we’re so glad we followed them. The Truffle Carpaccio and the Truffle Royal Pizza were absolutely incredible—easily some of the best dishes we’ve ever had.
