The Golden Ox Diner in Lodi, California offers American comfort food in a very cool, train themed environment featuring G-Scale engines and cars. There are also large planes hanging from the ceiling and display cases on every wall. The food here is amazing and the owner and staff here are very friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking out front and very clean bathrooms. If you are in or around Lodi or the Sacramento or Stockton area come by for a meal here. You will not be disappointed.

I tried this place after a early morning shopping trip near by and wanted breakfast. I tried the fried chicken sandwich, wich was delicious (2 breaded and fried breast chicken tenders on a cibatta bun). I also had the 1/2 order of the biscuit and gravy wich were tasty and satisfied that craving i was looking for.

I recently visited this restaurant and overall had a good experience. The atmosphere really stood out to me ,it has a strong American style that feels authentic and well put together. The service was excellent. The staff were attentive, helped me choose a dish, and made the whole experience smooth. For service alone, I would definitely give 5 stars. As for the prices, they seem reasonable considering the concept and overall experience. The only downside for me was the food.
