Food is outstanding!! I had the apple pecan salad with double chicken and it was delicious. My husband had the common salad and said it was delicious and my son had the fish and chips and oh my! The chips and fish are both delicious! The steak chili was also very good. Service was amazing. Outside playground and play area makes this place one of our favorites we visited while in TN.

We were visiting Chattanooga for my husband's birthday and were looking for a place to do lunch after visiting the Chickamauga Battlefield. A Google sealed us to Common Table. We were seated without a wait and our server was a pleasant young woman who greeted us immediately upon being seated. The menu looked very good, but after a big breakfast we both were wanting something light. I had the avocado toast and the cinnamon sugar toast and my husband had the yogurt parfait and the soup of the day (which sounded strange but ended up being delicious). We found Common Table after visiting Ruby Falls & Rock City! First: this IS a restaurant attached to a church. So if you didn’t notice that reading reviews & going in - when you realize this, you’re gonna feel some kinda way. I think that is the point. The people who are upset in the reviews are probably used to places that only cater to the customer but it’s obvious Common Table is about more than that. My kids are grown so I did not investigate the indoor playground but I can attest to this being a HUGE convenience for parents who would like to socialize but don’t have a lot of extra time.

Tried Common Table on Friday. I asked the waitress lots of questions and she answered all of them without becoming impatient despite having several other tables to take care of. Ordered one of her recommendations Patty Melt while my Coworker ordered the Smash burger both of us got the sweet potato fries. It was good. Our drinks stayed full and as we are heavy drinkers the waitress brought us a bottle for self service refills. I plan to come back and try some of the other menu items. Menu isn’t overwhelming but offers lots of options, so one could have many meals here without a repeat. Breakfas
