An Upper East Side classic! Went on a Thursday night and was treated to the live trio jazz band ($25 cover). Love that they have a zero proof / non alcoholic menu - the Pepito had a nice kick (tequila alternative). Still one of the great places to people watch and take in the crowd.

I recently visited Bemelman’s Bar with friends. Given the high price point and the prestigious location I anticipated attentive service and high quality cocktails. The service however was mediocre and did not meet the standards usually found at a luxury hotel bar. It felt impersonal and lacked the professionalism I expected for the cost. We had the best Christmas Eve here. In fact, it will be one a tradition. The bar is very classic, old and the murals were stunning. The overall vibe makes it what it is. You’ll likely see a celebrity or two. We saw some a listers. The staff are lovely, drinks are perfect. What a place! Can’t wait to come back!
