I absolutely loved our visit to Santé. The rustic feel of the interior combined with the location in downtown Matthews felt very authentic to a European restaurant. The staff was friendly and well educated on the food offerings, wine pairings and drink options. We had their appetizer of the day, a fresh Tuna tartare. The tuna was amazing and the avocado was fresh, the sauce of the side brought it all together. It was definitely a different experience for the family. I wasn't overly enthusiastic about it—though I think that’s really just a matter of personal taste—but I appreciated the opportunity to try French-inspired cuisine, and, overall, the food was good, my fam from husband side enjoyed it and Grandma was happy on her birthday and that’s the most important thing 💛 If anyone is feeling expensive, romantic or it’s just looking to try something different in Matthews area, I definitely recommend coming here 🍷
