My husband loves this chain and he misses it now that we live in San francisco. He is originally from McAllen Texas and I'd say that Whataburger is ingrained in a good number if his memories from childhood and young adulthood. This particular store had great service and was very tidy. A kind and very patient you g man named Axel worked the register and he was truly one of the more attentive people I've had the pleasure of running across while ordering food at any establishment. I just went in there to claim my free coffee since i'm a veteran, but ended up arguing with the guy at the counter because he refused to give me one even after I showed him my ID. He kept telling me I needed to purchase something for a free senior coffee even though I am not a senior -- YET. I'm only 29 years old. WHAT A WEIRD INDIVIDUAL AT THE COUNTER. Anyhow, I ended up getting the free coffee after all, but it was at room temperature, and I really wanted hot coffee. Also, he gave me a 12oz even though the ad clearly states 16oz and no purchase necessary! WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE JUST F

This was a drive thru order. This particular branch location has gone downhill… ordered two Whataburger jr. in a meal, plus a vanilla milkshake. Buns were cold and soggy (my hotel is literally 2 minutes away mind you), French fries cold and not up to taste standards (been a whataburger regular since I can remember —and I’d know since I just had a #7 for lunch, in another branch. Delicious btw). Milkshake also tasted funny. Would DEFINITELY suggest you try this chain, it’s truly a Texas-southern wonder. Just not this particular location… I can only hope they improve their quality.

Took awhile to make a shake, longer than expected. However the food here is always good and the order is always correct. Haven't had any other issues with them yet.
