Oh my goodness! My son, daughter-in-law and I just found Layered on the square in McKinney,Texas, about a month ago. We were looking for a place to meet and have lunch and we had no clue what we were in for! The atmosphere was phenomenal... Just walking up to the front door, we knew we found a Jewel! The service was fantastic, and she kept an eye on our refills! My caramel macchiato was amazing—I loved the taste, and I asked for it at room temperature, and it was perfect. I also ordered the “Migas,” which were a bit different from what I’m used to, but they were okay. I ate half of my plate, putting most of the corn chips aside. The sauce was delicious and really helped with the flavor of my migas. I think my friend enjoyed their meal too. Great spot for lunch and coffee in the main square of downtown McKinney. They have a good selection of food and coffee to choose from. I was eating pretty light and just had some fries, but they were really good. Almost reminded me of McDonalds fries. It also looks like they have a pretty good selection of alcoholic drinks as well if you come later.

Father's Day Brunch and this place from food viewpoint did disappoint. Ordered the Sweet potato pancakes and expecting them to either look orange or have a distinctive hue; as you can see they look like regular pancakes. In addition, the taste, while they taste adequate they do not have any flavor at all of a sweet potato!
