I went to the beach and on the drive back decided to check out the new place for breakfast. Was NOT disappointed. I was greeted immediately with a cheery good morning (just before 7am). The coffee was delicious (later found out it's freshly ground by them) and they kept the refills coming. I ordered biscuits and gravy and, boy, am I glad I did!! The gravy was a wonderful sausage gravy that smothered the fluffy biscuits. The bacon was extra crispy (just the way I ordered), and buttered grits - yumm!! As I had finished my breakfast, I smelled fresh oranges in the air... That's when I saw that

Cool little hole in the wall joint with great atmosphere and ocean breezes. Our server was very friendly and quick. We enjoyed sitting at a little table outside on the sidewalk. I ordered an omelet with feta cheese and extra hot peppers, and was delighted to get an omelet just busting open with hot peppers! Very tasty. I did not care for the home fries, but they were more than generous with the portions, and I was full when we left.

Sunnyside cafe is a staple in our little town. The staff are friendly and they really know their regular customers. They offer a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options along with daily specials. We have been going here more years than I can count and aside from becoming very popular which often can mean a few min wait for a table during peak hours on a weekday and maybe 10mins or more(if you have a large party) on the weekend they are breakfast perfection. I had an outing here with a group of Wounded Warriors and it was such a pleasant experience. The cafe has a warm, cozy vibe that makes you want to linger. I ordered a small breakfast plate, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. The portions were just right—enough to feel satisfied without being too heavy. Service was friendly and attentive, and my water cup never went empty. A perfect little spot to start the morning.
