Cappa’s Trackside Kitchen in Melrose, Mass is so much more than a breakfast cafe, it’s a woman owned, family run business that has everything you want in a restaurant and so much more. Their menu selection is by far the best in the area compared to other local establishments. The breakfast at Cappas is outstanding. Best I've had. The blueberry pancakes have always been great but they've recently made them smaller with less blueberries which is disappointing. I have to say that the place isn't very clean. The bathroom is so filthy it makes me wonder about the kitchen..the tables are always sticky because they need to be stripped and then varnished. The floor is cheap linoleum and the chairs have cracked and torn cushions. It would be wonderful if the environment could match the quality of the food.

Melrose has plenty of breakfast spots, but this is the one. Generous portions, genuinely friendly service, and a relaxed, family-friendly vibe. The staff brings a real community feel, the specials keep things interesting, and the outdoor seating is a bonus on a nice day. Easy choice.
