Gorgeous remodel. It’s stunning inside. It’s been a while since I was here and the food was meh. Not bad. Not good. Just meh. I went there today for convenience. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only is the interior amazing but the food was fantastic. I got the meat filled omelet and one pancake and although the pancake didn’t have that nice crisp, they both were delicious. Probably the best I’ve had. My sister got the shrimp scampi with huge shrimp and a delicious sauce. She loved it!!! Definitely will be back more often!

The food is always consistent, the turkey club is my go to because they use fresh sliced turkey, no lunch meat here. The burgers are always good as well. Last night my husband got the quesadilla and absolutely loved it. We’ve been coming here since the diner opened many many years ago, but the reason I am doing this review today is because of the outstanding server that we had last night. This man makes dining there with kids of fun experience. We had a two year-old and a 10 year-old last night and he jokes with them laughs with them and even made them toys out of placemats. The Golden Dawn has been around for years with good reason --- it's an old school Jersey diner that still provides 'value." You get good food, well-prepared, excellent service, and fair prices. AND: if you're lucky, you'll get Karen as your server. She is a real pro and lots of fun. On a recent visit my wife had a waffle with a fried egg while I had a breakfast wrap with fried potatoes (see photo). We both had coffee and the total bill came to . . . about $30!

My partner and I visted this diner today along with our 2 children. The diner has a cozy, inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff was friendly and the service was fast and efficient. We were a family of 4, and spent $50.00. I would recommend this place to everyone!
