So I've heard about this broken yolk from a lot of people and I just happen to find one down the street when I was going from my appointment with the doctor I was hungry because it was fasting labs. When I walked in the door they greeted me at the front counter and asked me where I would like to sit and I told him I wouldn't mind sitting at the counter so I can look outside the door. I’ve been coming here for almost a decade. Whether I sit at the bar and have a mimosa flight (!), or grab a booth for me and my family… the Yolk has literally never missed. I always stress about bringing my parents + other family out to eat — wanting to make sure everyone has a good time, is treated well, and gets something to eat they’re happy with! But never at this location for the Yolk. I’ve never been treated like anything less than family. And that’s what it feels like I am, when I’m here!

This is far above average for Mesa breakfast places. The biscuits are huge!! Portions in general are big and the prices are reasonable but not cheap. Avocado feta toast pictured below was 12 bucks for example.

This is such a cute and wholesome place. I have been here before with my family. The service is excellent, staff is super polite. But the food? Not impressed at all. In fact, it is the worst breakfast I've had in my entire life. There is so much to choose from on the menu. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes. A full stack. And at first, it was okay.. It was actually huge.... but I noticed how the texture was too chewy. Way too much lemon zest. It was so unpleasant. The blueberries were sour. Too much butter.
