Rating: 5/10 Ruby Slipper was unfortunately a pretty disappointing experience. I would only recommend it if you have just landed at the airport and do not have time to search for something better. To start, the beignets were mid, which is about what you would expect from a diner-style spot. They seem to be on the menu because of the area’s reputation, but you can tell locals are not lining up to order them. The highlight of the meal was the French toast bites. Even though they came out lukewarm, the flavor and texture were solid and easily the best thing we tried. The hot honey chicken biscuit

Had a great experience at Ruby Slipper! The food was absolutely delicious and came out fresh and flavorful. The service was just as friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. One thing I really appreciated was how easy it was to pay for the meal online which made the whole experience quick and convenient. Definitely a spot I would recommend if you’re looking for great food and smooth service!

We waited 1 hour+ for our food. Our waitress was nice, but the kitchen needs to get it together. After waiting nearly an hour, our waitress told us "there were a few tickets in front us, I wouldn't blame you if you want to leave" basically seemed like they were trying to clear tickets by seeing if anyone wanted to leave. On top of this, they do not know how to cook a poached egg. I do not recommend getting any of the Benedict's. My first two poached eggs were overcooked with set yolks. If I could rate a zero I would. One of the worst meals I’ve had to pay for in my life. The poached eggs were not runny, the biscuit was doughy. The food had no flavor and the Bloody Mary I had was definitely NOT award winning too much horseradish. Lastly my partner’s southern breakfast came with rice under the eggs. Not sure where that came from. The pancake was good though. Ohh and that very brown looking circle is the fried green tomato.
