Food feels like homemade ones. Especially their poori kurma. Their healthy thali option was great too except the millet sweet (too sweet). Mysore masala dosa was decent. Sambhar and Coconut chutney are delicious.

Had a wonderful experience at Kovai Cafe, Milpitas! We tried the masala dosa, Kovai Special Mysore masala dosa, Kovai Special thali, soft serve, and filter coffee — and every single dish was absolutely on point with the taste. The dosas were perfectly crisp and flavorful, the thali had an authentic homely touch, and the filter coffee was just perfect to end the meal. The soft serve was a great bonus too! If you’re craving authentic South Indian food with amazing flavors, this place is definitely worth visiting.

New place in Milpitas. Found this by accident and it didn't disappoint us. This is very authentic South Indian restaurant, to be precise TamilNadu restaurant. Place looks nice, modern and upscale. We had Gobi Pachimulaga, Plantain Bajji and Badam Paal and all items tasted good and fresh. The Bajji had a lot of oil, I felt that can be improved a little bit. I haven't tried their main course yet and I will come back and try them. Staff were very attentive and service was fast and accurate. Good luck to the owners and staff and look forward to dining again.

Tried their roadside kalan — pretty good and surprisingly close to the authentic Kovai-style version. The standout for me was the pachai milagai idly. It wasn’t overly spicy, but the green chilli flavour came through beautifully on those super-soft mini idlis. Definitely a must-try. Also ordered the rava dosa, which was decent.
