A true gem in the Bay Area. This place is best known for its biryani, and I ordered the lamb version. The rice was fragrant, beautifully layered with onions on top, and revealed tender, savory lamb at the bottom. The butter chicken was outstanding—richly creamy with just the right acidity from the tomatoes, paired with tender, flavorful chicken. I’m extremely disappointed and honestly disturbed by my recent order from Paradise Biryani via DoorDash. While eating the butter chicken, my wife suddenly felt something hard and sharp in her mouth. To our shock, it turned out to be a piece of aluminum metal mixed into the food. This was not a tiny fragment—it was sharp enough to cause serious injury. I knew it was a good sign when I walked in and was the only non-Indian person in a half-full restaurant. The service was hilariously bad as not a single person spoke to us all the way from getting seated, to getting our waters and eating utensils, to getting our food, to paying...literally not a word. The food was great, luckily, though! We did both vegetarian and meat dishes including goat biryani, malai kofta, paneer biryani, and chicken tikka masala. All were delicious and just the right level of "not Indian-spicy, please". The atmosphere was just there, but the food is the real draw.

I used to be a regular here but what a disaster today. GOAT Biryani, the meat was dry and looked like cooked at least 10days ago (see pic). This branch is spoiling the brand name of Paradise Biryani. Stay away from this place!
