Came here for a hot beverage and a pastry. It was mid-morning on a Monday. Food: I ordered a London Fog tea latte. They don’t have mugs, so it was served in a cup. The London Fog was decent, hot and flavorful. I also got a pistachio scone. They don’t have the ability to heat pastries, so it was served cold. On a chilly morning, that made it feel especially cold. Service: The person taking orders and making drinks was super nice, personable, and willing to have a casual chat. This is a great spot if you are on a walk or need to stop by for a quick coffee before work. I order a 1/2 Rocket Fuel and 1/2 cold brew every time. As someone who doesn't love my coffee too sweet, it's a perfect balance between sweet and "savory." There isn't a automatic rewards system like you may see at other coffee shops in the area, but they do offer punch cards which is beneficial if you remember to bring it with you on your visit. I hesitate to give is 5 stars simply because I don't think it's a coffee shop where you could hang out, but I acknowledge that that's an incredibly subjectiv

Alderaan Coffee is a bit spare in terms of decor, so it might put people off, but it is a reasonably priced corner location that does feature extremely friendly staff, a modest selection of decent pastries and tons of light. My only real complaint is just how there's only a handful of seats and nothing softer for longer periods but for a walk-up coffee place on Water St., you could do worse.
