Had an appointment downtown that wrapped up around lunchtime, so we stopped by Cotton State BBQ to grab something to eat. I ordered their brisket Philly special with fries, and my wife got the chicken salad sandwich with potato salad. The Philly was really good with a lot of flavor, and the fries were crispy and seasoned just right. My wife said her sandwich was good too, with a light smoked flavor, and the potato salad had a nice taste with a hint of olive in it. Respectably good BBQ located in downtown Mobile. We stopped by there before visiting USS Alabama. We've never been to Mobile so we just did a blind search on google map and found this place. We were concerned about parking but we easily found a spot. It was a nice day so we had our food to go and ate at the park next door. I'm not sure about their services but the interior seems pretty nice for a BBQ joint. Everything we had was good. They packed us some coleslaw (not sure if it was their normal thing to do) and it was great.

My coworkers and I were in Mobile for a conference and wanted to experience some Alabama BBQ. It was tasty, and hits the spot when you want BBQ, but it is nothing out of this world. I ordered the pork sandwich with coleslaw and pickles. Never got the pickles, but the sandwich was jam-packed with meat and coleslaw! The seasoned fries were perfectly hot, crispy, and not too oily. Cute restaurant on the inside. Very friendly and attentive staff. I had a problem with my order and they were kind enough to remove it from the bill and offered to remake it
