i found this place a few days ago, was really great, so i came back the next day and brought more people bragging that this was the best bubble tea i found, the tapioca was soft and fresh. we all ordered and it turns out half the tapioca given to us is HARD! This past April was the very first time trying this location which is obviously the original location. First time in general was at the Vernon Hills location which sadly closed shortly after the pandemic hit. My family and I were leaving Old Orchard Mall and exploratory me loves to trek out and try new restaurants and bubble tea parlors so that's how we ended up here and glad we tried it. It’s a bit tricky to find. Place offers a calm atmosphere, with soft music in the background that won't drown out conversation. The space, however, could use a bit of freshening up – the smell was slightly off-putting, but it wasn’t overwhelming. The flavors are okay. These aren’t Taiwanese bubble tea so don’t expect something similar to kung fu tea. This is more of a blended bubble tea (artificial flavor + ice + tapioca). Definitely not worth the price.

Avalanche Bubble Tea brings back so many memories of our time in Morton Grove! The quality of the bubble tea is still just as sweet as it was many years ago. They have many different combinations of fruits and teas. The restaurant itself is very cozy. However the sofas look like they haven’t been changed since the place opened up. 😁 The staff is very friendly and they usually give great suggestions.
