China Wok exceeded my expectations. It’s mostly carry out and the interior is modest, but most importantly, the food was excellent. I had the chicken with steamed mixed vegetables, and it was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The eggroll was homemade and nicely filled. You can really taste the care put into the preparation. There is a wide menu on par with options at any solid Chinese restaurant. Looking forward to trying other items. Highly recommend!!

China Wok is a little gem hidden in a shopping center at the corner of Golf and Elmhurst Rd in Des Plaines. Fast pace, but very efficient place. They have two tables to eat there if you choose to do that. I got my order to go. D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S!!!!! I ordered Sea Food delight, Fried rice and Orange Beef. Absolutely amazing food. I highly recommend it.

I'm ordering for years from China Wok and always bin happy with the food quality and service. But lately something changed and not to the good side. Last time my order got mixed up and I did not get what I ordered. I let it go since it was the first time and mistakes happen. But today I ordered the fried shrimp appetizer and man was I disappointed. Inedible and old, two of the shrimps was so dry that they crumbled inside the breading. I had their food for the first time a few days ago and loved it! My father knows the owner Ken, and asked for a simple but good vegetarian meal for me. He prepared fried rice, white rice, steamed assorted vegetables, and a brown soy type sauce. He confirmed there was no oyster sauce in it, as I have a shellfish allergy. The food was great. Rice was good and filling, veggies were cooked nicely & evenly, and the sauce was very tasty. I will definitely go back for more meals here! Thank you for a tasty vegetarian meal!
