I would highly recommend Baan Siam if you are looking for tasty and affordable Thai food. We got the green papaya salad and the Thai vermicelli in chili peanut sauce. I am a wimp with spicy food, so even though it says two hot peppers do not fear. It has a bit of a kick to it but it's really not that bad! The green papaya salad was a fantastic choice. The combination of flavors was a great way to kick off the meal, it was peanutty and sweet and oniony all at the same time. Solid Thai spot, with a diverse array of choices on the menu, a modest but interesting cocktail menu and modern decor. Service was good and food quality was good as well, if not remarkable. The food was truly delectable. Service was good, ambiance was on the romantic side although I went with a friend. The Khao Soi was especially delicious. The way they marinate the chicken and tenderize it til it practically falls off the bone—amazing. The flavor profile of the stirfried glass noodles was complex and delightful as well. Neither were particularly spicy to me, though.
