Thought we’d give The Original Egg a try and we’re glad we did. Sarah provided excellent service and the food was great. I had the regular eggs Benedict and grits. I’m something of a grit snob and will say these grits, loaded with bacon and cheese, were really tasty, without lumps! Our coffee cups were kept full of aromatic goodness and they served real butter. A great way to start our day.

This is a quaint place to eat, the servers are attentive, and the food is decent. This was our second visit, I got the breakfast combo of 2 eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, ham, and pancakes, and I had to take leftovers home. There is not a gluten-free menu, but there are options that you can choose from the menu that do not have gluten in them. The overall price of the meal is reasonable, especially compared to the portion size.

Food: food was great and original. I had brunch with a stack of pancakes! Service: No bad, it just took a long time to get things going. We sat for about 15 min with no one noticing us. Once the waiter came to help us out, he stayed busy helping us out and maintaining good service The atmosphere was great. The restaurant was not busy. This made it enjoyable Bathrooms were clean

New upholstery needed on seats. The food is good but was not hot. The French toast is Devine every bite. The waitress is really nice. Request double brew if you want to taste your coffee bean. And the price is nice.
