Kenzo delivers an authentic and refined Kaiseki experience. The Seasonal Hassun (appetizer platter) was a beautiful highlight, showing off a variety of textures from the snap peas with bacon to the snow crab with caviar. You can tell the Chef pours immense care into the fundamentals; the dashi broth in the Owan course was world-class. Attentive service and a warm atmosphere made for a perfect Valentine’s celebration.

Rating this in comparison to other similar bay area. Generally good but nothing extraordinary. Staff is great but there were some delays with food timing hence the markdown. Highlight was the trout - done well and great sauce pairs, lowlight was the tuna - so heavily covered in raw sesame, could hardly taste the tuna.
