This is a unique take on Nashville chicken. The store was really clean and had a fresh vibe to it. Bathroom was also nicer than many fast casual restaurants. Now onto the fun stuff. Badmaash's Mac & Cheese is a must try and liked the fusion idea. Huge portion with a lot of chicken. Super cheesy and I liked the masala and mint chutney sauces on top. It is very heavy so I think it’s best to share as an app instead of as your main meal. I like the metal trays everything is served on but felt the Mac & Cheese could use a better serving dish. My husband and I lived in New Haven for four years, and this was our favorite place for fried chicken sandwiches and badmaash’s fries. We moved back to California about eight months ago, and no hot chicken spot has compared to Hot Murga. The food is flavorful, perfectly spiced, and so satisfying. We still crave it and are planning to make a stop in New Haven when we go to the East Coast in September just to get food from Hot Murga and Olmo bagels lmao
