Thomas Lemler★★★★★Phenomenal food and service. Historical nature of the atmosphere doesn't hurt either. A quaint open air indoor dining experience that feels like you're eating on a family porch during a party. The confit duck leg was exquisite and while perfectly crispy on the outside, succulent on the inside. The lamb shank was like butter melting off the bone, perfectly cooked and blasting with flavor. The Chambord cake had a lovely sweet and tart reduction and fluffy consistency. But the unexpected showstopper was the most incredible sorbet I have ever had in my entire life, it was a mixed berry one t
coco guillot★★★★★Cafe Degas is a restaurant my family has loved for years. Once in the 2010s, my mom and I were both ill and the only thing we wanted was Cafe Degas’ french onion soup. We drove 45 minutes just for it, and still talk about how good it is to this day. Today we came to bring my Scottish partner and it was as wonderful as always. We got the mussels, frites, a french onion soup, the puppy drum (*3), and a steak. Gah, I could have drunk the sauce for the puppy drum and been satisfied. My only complaint is that I have been eating too much on this visit home and I didn’t have space for the lemon ic
Sabrina Blaschke★★★★★Me and my fiancé had brunch here and really enjoyed the setting. He had Belgium waffles with a side of bacon and mimosas. I had a Bloody Mary with the fish stew and it was DELICIOUS! For dessert we had crème brûlée and a pear tart. Not a bad thing to say, highly recommend.
Shira Abel★★★★It didn’t start well, but it did end well. We came in a few minutes early for our reservation. We’re visiting New Orleans and my husband found this place for our 23rd anniversary dinner. We were sat. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. Over 30 minutes later I asked someone if it’s normal to wait for over 30 minutes without anyone taking our order. Turns out that’s not normal at all. Also, he looked mildly horrified, which helped. Finally we get a waiter and service began. He was great. I was too hungry and annoyed at that point to catch his name, but the food came fast and was good
