We came here for dinner while staying in Newport for the weekend. Nice old school vibe, had a live singer when we were there Saturday night. Friendly staff, and good drink selections. We have a couple prime rib eyes that were cooked perfectly pink with a nice seared crust. Some oyster Rockefeller that tasted fresh, good flavors. The white truffle mac n cheese was done well, and the au gratin potatoes great with the steak. Had to finish it off with the chocolate cake. Very rich and decadent. We were not disappointed. In the 7 years I’ve been frequenting this place I have not once had a bad or even mediocre experience. Everything is done thoughtfully: the service is excellent, the decor/ambiance/vibes are cozy, warm and inviting. The food and drinks are seriously next-level. If it’s your first time, please go on a Friday or a Saturday night, get yourself a seat at the bar and enjoy live music, a perfect (slightly dirty) Hendricks martini with 2 blue cheese olives and an order of escargot.
