This was the last straw. We will not be returning! We have been to The Bar about 6-7 times over the last 2 years and probably half those times were disappointed in service (like waiting to order or not bringing drink refills) or an order came out wrong. This time there were 3 of us, ordering a patty melt and fries (ordered without onions, but it came with onions), chicken fried steak, and a chicken fried chicken. The meat and green beans were delicious and piping hot! The mashed potatoes on both entrees were cold. Mine was room temp warm at best, but my husband said his was refrigerator cold

Food was nothing special. Nachos didn't have nearly enough cheese. The burger tasted kind of off but the fries were great. Bar was loaded up with affliction shirts which was pretty funny but just a general mix.

We went to The Bar in Olathe tonight to celebrate our daughters’s boyfriend’s 21st birthday. They wouldn’t serve him a beer because he had a vertical ID. They tried to tell us it was KS law. We googled it and read something different.. Lawyers reading this,, please let us know if this is truly a KS law or if it’s a corporate decision. Food was fine, but after we paid our bill we left. We went to a bar and grill down the street and they were fine with his ID! Just wanted to let anyone planning to celebrate their 21st birthday at The Bar, to NOT go unless you have a horizontal ID.

07.02.2022 We had dinner here. We have eaten before at this place and were disappointed. This might have skewed our opinion this time. My wife had the cobb salad. she said it was fairly good, but many other places do a better one. There were some good topping. eggs, bacon, cheese, tomatoes. I had a bacon cheddar burger. I ordered it "medium". I was expecting maybe tiny bit of pink, but mostly grey. you can see in one of my pictures it was very raw looking. I typically order my steaks medium rare. I think this burger was that or rawer. the center wasn't very warm at all. in genera
