First time visiting Paso Robles and while I was excited for the vineyards, I definitely needed a break from wine - and The Alchemist’s Garden was exactly what I was looking for. This place was recommended by the group I was with (they’ve done this trip a few times), and it absolutely lived up to the hype. A unique restaurant, my wife and I had a great dinner and great experience here. To start, we had a couple cocktails: the Nicolas Flamel and the Theory of Forms. Four of us went to lunch today to celebrate two birthdays. Danny was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided great service. The food was amazing—the guys had the prime steak sandwich special—and their short cut fries were honestly the best I’d had. The cocktails were beautiful and tasty. We were looking for a spot to have dinner and came across this one. The menu was intriguing since it had such a wide variety of food items and a good chunk of veggie forward dishes and season items that rotate. It was a busy Saturday night but we were able to be sat at the bar right away. The decorations of the restaurant ranged from whimsical to silly, with Christmas displays up for the holiday.
