Having arrived in Salem after a modest journey from Bar Harbor, my fair lady found herself in urgent need of a reliable wireless telegraphy contrivance for the purpose of attending a meeting. As for myself, I sought that most noble of restoratives: a strong cup of coffee to revive a spirit wearied by the road. Thus did we chance upon On the Grind, an establishment whose complimentary parking was worthy of public praise. In Salem, where finding a free place to leave one’s carriage can feel like a bargain struck with unseen forces, this was no small show. The café resides upon the grimmer side

This place is wonderful! The atmosphere is cozy but not crowded or loud. The coffee and food are always incredible. I go here often and I am never disappointed. It is perfect for a quick stop in for an order to go or to stay longer to get work done or to visit.
