Butcher and the Rye is back!! It has been 5 years since they closed and I was lucky enough to be one of the first ones to dine at an old favorite restaurant of mine. I started my dinner with the Butcher Martini. It is a wonderful blend of citrus within the Gin. The accoutrement was a nice blend of flavors. I didn't have any starters as I knew dinner would be enough for me. I chose the Butcher Burger. The combination of striploin and ribeye meat, sharp cheddar and oxtail jam made the burger melt in your mouth. Of course it came with their fabulous shoestring fries and aioli dip. My companion

I ordered the buttermilk fried rabbit which tasted amazing. I also had the dirty pasta to start which was yummy as well. The restaurant atmosphere is very nice and homey. I came a second time a few weeks later and ordered the burger which also did not disappoint! My friend ordered the steak and said it was yummy as well. I think the rabbit is the most unique dish and worth a try though!

Great restaurant! The decor is wonderfully cozy and warm. There are oil lanterns at each table and amazing antique fixtures and glasses. The drinks are whiskey based and amazing, especially from the upper bar; it has it’s own menu. The food was equally amazing; we had scallops and rabbit and Dirty Pasta. We ended with apple bread pudding. It was good. You won’t be disappointed.

This place had a great ambiance. Awesome smells of the wood fire. Great Menu and even better food. We stopped here after seeing the best football team in the world play at Heinz Stadium. The New England Patriots.
