It was our first time trying Austrian food at Jore Café Vienna. We ordered the pork schnitzel, Budapest bratwurst, and a pretzel bratwurst sandwich. Overall, the food was average. The pasta that came with the schnitzel and the mushroom sauce lacked flavor. The French fries with the sandwich didn’t seem very fresh either. For drinks, we had an espresso martini and a Himbeergeist schnapps. The schnapps was strong and good, but the espresso martini was just okay and a bit light. The atmosphere was really nice , definitely the highlight of our visit and the service was good as well.

That was quite exceptional! Hidden away in old town Plano is a wonderful gem of a restaurant. You could walk right past it and miss it. Fortunately, two of our longest and dearest friends suggested it for dinner out together and we’re so glad they did. It is a small venue but they do take reservations. If not, expect a wait but it is so ever worth it. The warm, intimate atmosphere feels true old Austria. The fresh baked pretzels with cheese are a perfect appetizer. We had just gotten back from a trip to Europe and were craving some of the food we had over there! We ended up at Jorge’s and couldn’t have been happier with the prompt and friendly service as well as the delicious food. We had great dishes and they had an incredible beer list. Our server made great recommendations and walked us through the menu as it was our first time there. I did not wait for a table as we got there right as they opened, but have heard that it gets extremely busy so I guess we were lucky, make sure you have a reservation!
