In search of Gyros on a humid Saturday, I stopped by The Gyro Grill on University Drive for a quick bite. There were several Mediterranean options to choose from as well as classic American items such as hamburgers and cheesesteaks. The serving sizes were generous and fresh. I ordered the Gyro pita wrap with fries and the chicken pita wrap with fries for lunch. Overall, the service was excellent and the restaurant was inviting.

I recently stumbled upon The Gyro Grill in Plantation, FL, when I was craving a gyro and fries. When we first pulled up, the place looked pretty quiet—no other customers in sight, which made us hesitate for a moment. This is just one of the best Mediterranean Grills in the Fort Lauderdale/ Plantation area. It is possibly the best kept secret in the area. We had this awesome sandwich called The Sloppy Chicken. It was 12 inches long and had to be cut in half just to get it in a takeout box. It is just so delicious with all that it has on it...it is just perfect the way it comes. The lady at the front counter was very helpful and friendly and the service was fast. We also had the Greek Tzatziki with pita bread it was very authentic and good.

We were hankering for some gyros earlier tonight and we found this place on Google. We got there (it's a modest joint, but clean). That suited us just fine. We weren't looking for fancy. We were looking for an amazing, authentic gyro. We were not disappointed! The gyros were delicious! Another thing I loved is that this is a small family business. The dad in the back cooking up a storm, his sons managing front of house. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and hope they have continued success so this little gem stays open for a long time! Go give them a try!
