I recently grabbed dinner at Dolly Olive in downtown Portland, and it was a great experience. The restaurant has a beautiful vibe, it’s bright, stylish, and feels very upscale but welcoming. If you go to Dolly Olive, you have to get the garlic-infused focaccia—it is perfect! The food here is a refreshing change of pace for Italian; it’s very light and not overly buttery or cheesy. Service was some of the best I’ve had, and they even treated us to their delicious Sicilian Eggplant Parmigiana. Portions are small, so keep that in mind when ordering. Pro tip for parents: it's not the most kid-centric spot in terms of entertainment, so make sure to pack some toys or coloring books to keep the kids busy.

We had such a great experience at Dolly Olive! The drinks were delicious and the meal started off perfectly with their amazing focaccia bread — it was absolutely incredible. The clam dish ended up being my favorite of the night — so flavorful and perfectly prepared. We also had the Tagliatelle pasta and it was fabulous. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully done and full of flavor. On top of the great food, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made the whole evening really enjoyable. We will definitely be back again!

Finally made my way to Dolly Olive... it didn't disappoint. Whether you're there solo or there on a date or with a group, it is great for all occasions. They have two sides. Dolly Olive (main restaurant) and Bar Dolly (smaller cute bar area with a few booths for eating). I sat at the bar in Dolly Olive and had an amazing experience. Hayden and Kelsey took great care of me. They have great energy and work really well together. They were super kind, engaging and fun to talk to during dinner - their cocktails were also delicious. I had the peperoncino martini and the espresso martini - amazing!!
