If you are in Poughkeepsie, you absolutely have to stop by Alex's restaurant! The service is amazing - not only are they accommodating and helpful, but the food is delicious! 4/5 stars on food because it was my first visit and I only tried one menu item. However, I will say, of the 8 people in my party; 6/8 completely cleared their plates - the 2 who didn't finished bagged it and brought their meal home because we were too full 😅 Thank you for being here and thank you for being amazing!

Relaxing atmosphere with great service and kind staff. I loved the older music from the 50s playing. The food was good and im glad to see that had real maple syrup available. I had the breakfast sampler. Its a good place to come with friends, a simple breakfast date, or to just come hangout and kill some time. I went on a Wednesday morning around 9 so it wasn’t busy but not dead either😊

To me, its typical diner food. I enjoyed everything I ate which was the griddled meal with challah french toast and the corned beef hash (homemade), hollandaise & overeasy eggs on a croissant. Staff was really friendly and I liked the different seats. (We got the wooden benches which i really liked.) Would def go back!

Great breakfast. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The omelet was filled with veggies and cheesy. The french toast was not my fave it was a little tough. I think they smash it too much during cooking. Service was great. The coffee was strong and fresh. Everyone was very friendly. I would return. My only issue was parking but there is a public parking lot near by. It is also fairly priced.
