We had a Valentine’s Eve dinner on Friday. Salad, homemade dressings and freshly baked bread were provided before dinner. My husband ordered Steak Frites with shoe string fries. I tried it and the sauce was delicious. The steak was encrusted with peppercorns which gave it a nice taste. I ordered the Beef Bourguignon. It was tender and again the sauce was thick, velvety soft and flavorful. Both dishes were excellent. We shared the crème brûlée for dessert which was the very best that we’ve ever tasted! As soon as we entered and began down the stairs into the restaurant the aroma of French food

I visited this restaurant 9 years ago as a freshman at Brown and I was very happy to return to it during my 5th year reunion!! The French countryside cuisine was delicious and hearty, paired with excellent service from staff and the owner personally came by to check on every table (I remember him doing that 9 years ago too). I requested a mocktail and got a cranberry limeade. Highly recommend this place! Reservations recommended.

Returned to this wonderful truely French restaurant after a 5 year hiatus. Better than ever. We had the beef bourginon, the pot Au Feu, the cassoulet, all the traditional meals - all superb. Our waitress Courtney was excellent. Do not miss visiting this restaurant when in Providence.
