Cryingggg. Just came back to Cougar Country after being gone for a year and everything has changed. The iconic crinkle fries have been replaced by small, overcooked nubs. The chicken strips are a new recipe with over-fried, bad breading. Even the fry sauce is bad. 😭 This nostalgic spot from my childhood is now just an average spot that I sadly won’t be returning to. I understand making improvements, but these are not improvements. Why fix something that isn’t broken?

I've had them many times over the decades, but this was the first time after the ownership change. It was delicious then, and it's just as delicious now. I love how you can 'beast style' any burger. And the quality with the beef has improved, in my opinion. I get that some locals might need to get used to the change, but I bet most are happy that this iconic Drive-In is open for business, and slinging good grub...

I usually would say the food here is pretty good. But I will also state that it is extremely inconsistent when it comes to the food I have received. I usually order a lettuce wrapped burger (which they offer on the menu) and I’m given a couple patty’s on top of shredded lettuce without the toppings I ordered, I got two and it came out to 35 dollars. With it being this much and not getting what I paid for it’s hard to want to come back.

I don't write reviews often, but Alex earned this one. When I ordered my burger and asked for no onions, most places would have just entered the modification and moved on. Alex didn't. He took it a step further and proactively let me know that their homemade sauce also contains raw onion, something I never would have known as a first-time customer. I would have eaten it and dealt with the consequences, and this would have been a very different review. Because he was actually listening and not just taking my order, I was able to enjoy my meal without any anxiety about eating somewhere new.
